Itinerary: 08Days/07nights
Route: Cusco/Manu cloud forest Lodge or Cock-of-Rock Lodge, Amazon manu Lodge/Cusco
Highlights: Birding the Andes and all altitudes of the Manu area with a list of almost 1,000 species, Cock of the Rock at the leak, Macaws and More.
Leave early for Manu National Park and the famous Manu Road. In the way we are going to make stop in Huacarpay Lake for the endemic bird Bearded Mountaineer and birds like Rusty fronted Canastero and more. We will bird through typical Andean scrub and fields on our way to the highest part of Manu National Park, at the Acjanaco pass, with breakfast and lunch on the road. Arriving at the ACCA around mead day, after some birding at tree line, just after sunset we go down by bus to see spectacular birds Swallow-tailed Nightjar close to the rout.
Overnight at ACCA. Biological Station at about 3000 meter.
We will start our descent through cloud forest on the Manu road, birding on the way we walk in the rout looking for the birds like golden headed Quetzal, Red Crested Cotinga, Barred Fruiteater, Black-streaked Puff bird, mixed flocks, Hummingbirds and more.
Night at the Cloud Forest Lodge or Cock to the Rock Lodge.
We will spend two days birding the cloud forest along the road above and below the Lodge.

Continuing down the Manu Road, we will bird our way through subtropical forest to Atalaya, The road between Pilcopata and Atalaya has good birds like Military and Blue Headed Macaw, and Pheasant Cuckoo, Amazonian Umbrella Bird, crossing the Alto Madre de Dios River to the Amazon manu Lodge.
We will spend two days birding habitats from the lodge at the base of the Andes. We will cover the extensive trail system in search of the almost 600 species recorded in this lodge birds like Trush like Antpitta, Great and Long tailed Potoo, Striolated Puffbird and more.
Overnight at Amazon manu Lodge.
Early in the morning we travel by bus take us back to the cloud forest and over the Andes to Cusco.
